Recently I got this childhood nostalgia... my favorite Disney movie at this time was Ariel the little mermaid.
I was OBSESSED with mermaids and ocean creatures and really, really wanted to become a mermaid, that much how Ariel wanted to become a human.
I realized that sometimes in our lives we want something we know that's unreachable, but we still desperately try to get it. For me, a symbol of this desperate hope and wishes is a mermaid.
