When the common star dragon was first discovered, little was known about the species, as they were not exactly friendly. It was only after the discovery of the peaceful monks and the anthro star dragons that any information was gleamed about the space dwelling creatures.
Around 6-8 feet in height, the anthro star dragon no longer possesses any of the magical abilities of the common star dragon, but instead makes up for it with intelligence, kindness, and a strong curiosity about life. The monks live in the high mountains of Dragon Veil, while the women, children, and working men live in the rich valleys below, tending small family farms and enjoying an easy life. There are no taxes, and since their discovery, they spend much time learning about other cultures.
Living under the oath of 'do no harm', the monks have prevented wars, famine, and almost all other disasters simply through their intellect. There is little need for live food, and what little is raised is only eaten after natural death. The rest of their diet is made up of plant life and minerals.
Since their discovery, the anthro star dragons have proven brilliant traders, and sell large amount of fabrics, woven from a specific species of grass that grows abundantly (and is always watched for signs of over-harvesting) in exchange for books and other simple goods.
The garb of the antho star dragons is simple: monks wear robes, while the rest of society either goes bare or wears simple, naturally dyed skirts.
