So guys, I want you guys to meet my new favorite Skylanders character. He's one of the Doom Raiders, he works with both wood and goo, I've heard he's got a PhD in B.A.D...
And yes, OF COURSE my favorite Doom Raider is the scientist. He's adorable, what can I say. And I like that he reforms and actually becomes a good guy after a couple games! Like good for him, glad he walked that path of redemption.

Okay, but what if Dr. Krankcase’s species was way more apparent before he lost his legs in that gruesome accident?

Me and a friend on Discord were discussing Dr. Krankcase's species, the idea that Dr. Krankcase is a frog came up (previously I was going with the idea that he's like half-drow and half-troll and he was hiding some pointy ears behind his hair) and, long story short, I drew this as a warm-up to see what he'd look like with frog legs, used that warm-up to test out coloring in CSP with some painterly brushes, and now here we go. Something that isn't in my usual coloring style but I really like it nonetheless.

I feel like Dr. Krankcase being a frog is something that is joked about a couple times before with the Skylanders fans, but I've never really run into anyone drawing him with the set of legs he had before whatever happened that made him replace them with wooden spider legs.

This is probably what he looked like at Inventor's School during his term papers. Mags probably also looked like a complete wreck.

It was fun being more loose with my colors; I've kinda been sticking to one style of coloring lately.
