“Eheheh!” Markus giggled gleefully as he stared out into the outside world from within Zeus’ enormous maw. His palms rested against the slimy tongue of the knight as he took his last few glimpses at the hand that had just dropped him in his friend’s hungry mouth.

Markus had known Zeus for a long time, longer than he’d known Leif even. And now as he finally found himself in a position he was teased with for so very long he couldn’t help but feel elated. Leif himself had already found his way down into the stomach and the thought of meeting him there made Markus even happier. His mind drifted back to every time he’s been appraised as food, every time Zeus called him delicious or offered to ‘spend the night’ inside his belly. Yet the thing that finally caved Markus’ ability to deny himself his ultimate fate was the fact that Leif had somehow managed to beat him to it!

By the time Markus realized what was going on Leif was already dangling upside-down over Zeus’ waiting maw. The giant looked down, his eyes meeting with Markus’ just as he let go, easily swallowing the turian in just one gulp.

At first the little human was confused but the words that came after, about how he’d most certainly have to eat at least a couple more turians in the future, sealed the deal. The enormous hand effortlessly grabbed hold of him and a quick toss later he found himself within the maw, drinking in his last moments of freedom before he would go on to join his friend as sustenance for Zeus.
