That’s a wrap. Day 365 ends the Bird-A-Day project.
But while all good things must come to an end, something new comes from it’s ashes, just as the Phoenix rises from those very same ashes.
This, as some long time followers know, was the second iteration of the project. Each iteration marked a struggling period of my life where I wasn’t sure what I was doing with either my life or my art. The project was always a way to both improve my skills, have fun, keep me drawing (almost) everyday, keep designs loose without much obligation, and to keep me disciplined on a singular thing when the rest of life was chaos.
The project seen me through multiple jobs, a few moves (Bronx->NJ->Canada->NJ again), and into my current life. It has opened up new doors for me and brought me new friends and even helped me into the direction of producing merchandise, especially pins, which you all have made wildly successful beyond any expectation I ever had.
So thank you. Thank you for following. Thank you for supporting. Thank you for all the suggestions of species and ways to handle the project, and so much more. You are all the best bird nerds any artist could ask for.
Please watch this space for updates on my new bird related project and well as the post-Kickstarter release of the Sky of Jewels songbird enamel pins to purchase.

Not only a gorgeous drawing, wonderful related content; but reading about the passage of time, you have been on QUITE the journey! We really do need to catch up. I'm so happy that the merchandise is successful, and that you have that stability- your art is such a pleasure to behold (and to comment on) and your caricatures so amusing. Jammin, you always going to be awesome- and you know it!
