A good while ago when my brother and I went to the city to wind down from stresses, the topic of LGBT popped up and I told him about how I saw ace folks face a lot of discrimination.
He was genuinely aggravated from learning about this, he didn’t agree with the kind of exclusion let alone the actual abuse they DO face. He understands the whole ‘no cishets’ thing in terms of LGBT and that’s fine since it isn’t really meant for cisgender straight people (allies of course always okay n everything but I digress)
He believed the sort of exclusionary behavior (be it to aces, bisexuals, transgender) was no different to the homophobia the lgbt community would face on a daily basis
(Note: I’m not interested in debating whether Ace/aro folks are LGBT or not. You guys can discuss it amongst yourselves in the comments, i’m not partaking in it because I believe they are lgbt and will not move from this stance)

I’ve heard from a few trans guys that they don’t feel welcome in terms of dating gay men since some don’t really want what a trans guy might have (to phrase it in the *least* offensive way I can). Is it transphobic? Maybe a tiny bit but like, if they’ve a preference to cis guys then that’s fine, I don’t particularly agree with it but I mean, i’m not a fan of guys (trans or cis) in general (save for a few) due to most of them having had a rather toxic and emotionally constipated behavior, making it hard to actually interact, so to have a preference for the other isn’t as bad compared straight up mocking someone for being trans or even implying they were ‘lying’ (yeah, I’ve encountered those, hell I even encountered someone irl who turned out to be extremely biphobic like holy shit)
