A scene from my story Great Prince (Bambi Prequel) a short while after his first mate and child are killed. He sits on the very spot where he seen them alive for the last time searching for the strength to go on. The light he looks towards represents his fallen mate Milena.

I had to decide on a direction to go with the story thanks to Disney's epic mess up of their own story, so trying different things to see what I can do with them. This is the first real scene I've done, but really enjoyed painting this one, working on it for about 5 hours and think its pretty good. All hand panted in photoshop from the background with took 90% of the time the foreground and the Great Prince himself.
