That's a good question honestly!! I guess I kind of like the look of the image being small enough to grasp the whole image without scrolling (and maybe my screen is smaller than most haha). I think it's maybe just a personal preference and I haven't really considered it, but I might make a journal and get a general opinion and go from there for future uploads. :3

Hope you don't mind me chiming in but while slightly larger would be okay, I'm actually quite grateful of the fact that you aren't one of those people uploading in 4K and stuff like that where you have to zoom around to view an image properly after viewing the full image X_x A bit larger would be fine but that would be an example of the polar opposite
I'm gonna go ahead and blame FA on this one since they basically only have two zoom settings: tiny thumbnail, and original size no matter what it is. I'm sure nobody would have this problem if they had more intermediate options (like fit to window or whatever) that let people easily see the whole thing, but also go in to see the details and stuff.
I also like having the full resolution pictures because they're obviously better for backgrounds and when I look at them on my phone or tablet I don't have to pick between absolutely tiny, and all fuzzy and blurred.
