Tombow markers, which are cool because they have a fine (but flexible) tip, lay on consistent color width and intensity, and don't leave globs or pools of pigment on the surface. And, even when dry, they're really blendable, allowing for that watercolor look. I can control a pen much better than I can a brush, especially after I've had a cup of coffee.
