A Summer Poke-Cation! Part 7 - Tauros-ing Around Town
Whoops, forgot to get this in...ooooohh...ok...lets see...
You know, one of the interesting changes in Sun and Moon is the removal of Hidden Machines. These things are kind of confusing now that I think about it. They're suppose to be like...disc things...and they teach Pokemon new moves (along with Technical Machines). I haven't watched every episode of the anime-with-characters-that-never-get-older (something Digimon at least does), so I don't know if they ever explained this...
Yeah we didn't go too much into that as research. Is it like a teaching manual or something? Or does it like literally unlock something in the brain or something like psychic powers...ironically maybe that's how it works for Psychic Pokemon hehhe.
*shrugs* I dunno. Honestly, it could be something REALLY messed up depending on how some things in Pokemon are.
Anyway...I never actually used TMs in the games. As far as I knew, they were one-use items, and some you could never acquire again. HMs, as far as I knew, could be used multiple times...BUT, at least early, they were PERMANENT. Yep. And apparently Pokemon can't know more than four moves at any time, even in the anime nowadays (uh, what, why?). So, in order to fly, swim, or break rocks, you have to use it on a Pokemon and they're stuck with it. It sucked when you had three good moves, but couldn't get a good fourth because an HM was blocking you.
So, in Sun and Moon, now it seems those moves are regulated to new mechanics by simply calling Pokemon to do the service for you. I suppose this is a better option, you don't have to pick which one on your crew has to sacrifice a move slot for something you can't take back. Strangely, I think Cut was the first HM you usually get, but seems you're getting the Strength equivalent in the Tauros Charge service.
Yeeeaaaahhhh....
It's not a two person saddle apparently sooooo....don't blame me, blame the bull.
Well...at least it made...getting around town faster...
Yeah, though, then again...having trainers with access to charging bulls is...ugh...lets just say adults in Pokemon are stupid....not quite South-Park stupid but...
