Àlainn used Hydropump! It's Super Effective!
While Dain may be a nice fellow in general, that doesn't mean he's going to be a pushover, and it certainly doesn't mean he's not going to punish bad choices in his arena. If you bring a Bug/Rock type against this Water-type trainer and his team, you're going to have a bad time.
Àlainn isn't shy about unloading with full force on an opposing Pokemon, especially when it's pretty much a foregone conclusion which 'Mon is going to win, and his powerful Hydropump is an example of pulling out all the stops. A bit overkill for a Shuckle? Maybe, but it gets the point across.
You don't step to a Regional Champion without a solid strategy and forethought. Otherwise, you're going to get rinsed.
