The second sheet of bird boys. I started in a more owlernly direction this time, with a nude and mysterious owl holding some kind of stone with talony hands that have the rest of the wing hanging off the wrist. I wanted them to be very mystical and wise looking.
The second one is sort of owlboy meets the Rito from Windwaker. I'm no super happy with it, but it is a neat look.
I went with a vulture next, a long craned neck with a hunched old body clutching some scrolls. I actually really like him, but I don't think that he's a good look for the race as a whole.
That poor tired coffee owl.
The las guy is what sort of ended up becoming the de-facto design for them, at least so far. He's very scholarly looking with some mystic stones and stuff, but an important detail is the pinwheel staff. I figure a pinwheel would be a kind of significant symbol to them, since it's the only way you can see the wind.
Also big wing hands, yes.
