True that, that's why I got into it. They should overhaul some of the mechanics though, I don't like how my 80-part mega tank can get shoved around by small melee cars so easily. They should also introduce armored turret concepts for some of the weapons, it'd be really fun to have a low-profile, high-hitpoint armored shell you can snap onto a lot of the small weapons, have an armored machinegun or a 20mm Panzer 2 turret.
Well they do have multiple high-hit machine gun and shotgun mounts with the intention of being used as an armored firing port. Like the, crap can't think of the name now; like Stacker or.. TACKLER. That's it, tackler. It has a limited angle of fire (like 100 degrees or so conical in-front of the main weapon slot), but it does around 5 bars of damage, pretty good rate of fire, high-HP, and when it's not firing it get's a defense buff. So for one of my rides I have two of them on the front panel to act as a shield for my cab, and then unload when I get a clear shot from pretty far back or spam up from behind. Also, when using the "Whirlwind" (that 20MM like autocannon that's super tall), I'll block it around with the wheel-well fenders that wrap around it perfectly.
Damnit, I don't have a screencap of it. But it makes great armor for that weapon :>

I know what you mean, a common tactic I've developed for my tank builds is to have the sides well-defended with just the tracks, keep a low profile if I'm using standard instead of Goliaths, and to have the train plow on the front. I've been using the Cyclone since it came out, really sick, best at mid-to-long range of course, so tank builds are weird with it, but I've still mauled people with it up close. I usually use the Carapace tank cab, it's well-balanced as an actual tank build. Low profile, good top speed, great tonnage for light/medium tanks. With the tracks positioned right, and the proper internal arrangement, you can have a well-defended gear bay behind between the tracks, slap some extra APC panels on the sides and rear, within the track segments, and then beef it up elsewhere. I don't take screenshots either, but I tell ya, it looks great, and it's functional too. The weapon points are exposed, but it's not made for that and at long range, it doesn't matter all that much.
Arg, posted in the wrong spot..
That is a good tactic, for sure. About half the builds I have has those auger drill treads with the +4 generator and the +10 fuel tank between the treads and a Cheetah or Goliath engine. I do need to work on a new faction soon as I get the Prestige award for the Lunatics, and I want to get that Cowcatcher. That looks SO cool :D
Have ya tried using the Quantum (+12 futuristic looking cab; probably got the name wrong) for your tank build? It's one of the fastest, gives extra tonnage, mounting spots all over it, durable, and semi-decent with power too :D Might try that with the new one that just came out on that Lamborghini looking cab. Fast, durable, maxed energy output, good mounting spots.. <3

Heh. It happens.
Uh, no. I haven't, actually. I know of it, but I've mostly stopped playing. Got kinda annoying to sit there and grind for all my gear when other people just spend $300 on in-game currency. Bit unfair, IMO.
Don't know of the Cowcatcher or that Lamborghini cab in fact!

Yyeeaaahhh.. I've spent an embarrassingly large amount of money in that game c_c But I have a grenade/ twin minigun well armored Scorpion, a super strong large walking Black Widow spider tank with long range artillary and short-range shotguns, a fast melee build with a ranged minigun, an old 1950's style pickup with super accurate gattling guns, a tank with miniguns and shotguns that drives on drills and EATS other cars with a tri-tipped drill in it's mouth, and 2 others that I swap between. When I do get to play, I like to spend a few hours building wild rides that look alive and HUNGRY for blood >:D
Fact is.. this helmet is of the driver of the one that eats other trucks. XD
