Something I decided to draw while watching the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy today: a naval officer in the Tar-Koldor fleet.

Since the setting of the world has over the years grown less medieval and barbaric and more along the lines of an early Renaissance-era, I figured the costumes should reflect that, hence the ever advancing in technology Tar-Koldorian Empire would be taking on a more Georgian/Victorian costume, while the outlying regions still retain their traditional fantasy clothing.

Hopefully this isn't too disappointing for ya, because it's sure fun to draw Renaissance and Victorian era costumes with swords and sorcery :D
