A closer look at each critter featured in my new Redwall size chart! Here is an angry bird.
Gosh, where did sparrows GO after the third book? They just kind of disappeared and never returned to the series again and that is a real shame, because I appreciate small murderous birbs (shoutout to Redwall's only shrike who was ehhh not half as interesting as Warbeak and her Sparra army sadly). There is a sparrow-shaped hole in Redwall Abbey without them. Like mice, they prove that you don't need to be a giant badger to push some baddie's face in, and that is sorely lacking in later books as it increasingly falls to giant badgers to push some baddie's face in.
