A closer look at each critter featured in my new Redwall size chart! Here is a small potato.

Okay, like, I love moles in real life and think they're adorable (and Christopher Denise's illustrations in some of the Redwall side books are so cute I'm gonna die.) Moles are everywhere throughout the series, but unfortunately the accent sort of ruins them for me- it's so overdone to the point where I read every mole character's lines in the same gruff manly voice, even the babies and the ladies, and it's totally jarring. Accents in general become really distracting as the series progresses. A little bit goes a long way! Anyway, this mole is very dapper and well-read. I would like to imagine he teaches the Dibbuns or something.
