Hey guys, I got engaged!! ^^ I'm gonna get married to Kiru in October, so, story time now! The week after the 4th of July Kiru planned planned to spend an entire week with me, so he brought me up to his house Sunday night.
Monday we went horseback riding with his sister, so it was me, Kiru, his sister and the guy who owns the horses thst went. It was the first time I had been on a horse in a long time, but it was the first time I had control riding a horse, but it was fun, it was pretty hot but there were butterflies everywhere, all kinds of butterflies, it was so beautiful.
Tuesday we went to lagoon, and all who went was me, Kiru, three of his friends from work and a friend of ours, Lyall, who actually he left for his mission the day after lagoon! And that was really fun, it was really hot that day, but it wasn't crowded, and we spent most of the day soaking wet, because the first ride we went on was rattlesnake rapids, then by the time we were almost dry we met up with Lyall and he wanted to go on rattlesnake rapids too, so we went again, and then after we dried from that we went on cliffhanger and got soaked again and ran through the splash pad for good measure, but when the sun was going down we wanted to dry off but as we were waiting in line for a ride a huge pink cloud came rolling in just at sunset, and it was memorizingly beautiful because of the lightning, and just as we were about to go on the ride, it down poured on us, we ran back to the lockers where the rest of our group was waiting for us, but it was insane, we ran through a river of water at the exit to get to our cars, none of us had a dry spot on our bodies, im just glad we left our phones in the car, so after that we needed to drive Lyall home, but it was raining too hard to go that far, and we were hungry, so we stopped at a freezing cold domino's for dinner, haha, it was insane, but it was fun.
Wednesday we went to Minnetonka cave, so for that adventure it was me, Kiru, his sister, my parents and my brother, the cave was really beautiful, and at the end was the marriage chamber, thats where they turn off the lights and its pitch black, so the guy turned off the lights, and when they turned them back on, Kiru was on one knee and he proposed to me, of course I said yes, and we were just giggling the whole way out of the cave, and after that we went to this place called Zipps (I think) for dinner, and then we got some really good raspberry shakes
Thursday though Saturday we wend down to Vegas to see his family which, was interesting to say the least, their cat Blue absolutely loved me, she normally is really shy around strangers but she was following me around the house, it was adorable, his dad is a lot like mine, he's really fun, and his little brother is great too! But his mom.. I love her more from a distance, uhg, she's just the kind of person who things anything abnormal is bad, and im basically the definition of weird, it was difficult with her, at dinner I was talking about my work (fursuits) with his grandpa (who's actually going to seal us in the temple!) And his mom said that it was really weird, I chimed in saying it's the good kind of weird but then she "corrected" me saying there's no such thing as a good kind of weird, uhg, whatever, its just a little frustrating spending time with her because I can't really be myself around her, I hope someday she'll be able to accept me how I am *sigh* oh well, the rest of his family absolutely loves me, enough drama though, Saturday was definitely an adventure, so we started the day by going boating on a river with his parents, Kiru drove and it was really fun, it was really hot that day, and the water was cold, so we stopped at the side to play in the water, I splashed Kiru and to get back at me he picked me up and tossed me in the river, hehe, it was fun, after that we went to hike lone mountain just me and Brady, which was fun, but we forgot to bring water and it was a really hot day, and we may have gotten a little heat exhaustion, oops, we went to a park for water, but the drinking fountains were off, so we decided to just go get dinner instead, but we decided we wanted cheesecake factory, which may have not been the best idea because it was a half hour wait for a table, but we finally got some water and some food, we both felt better after that, but after that we got ice cream, and it rained, the lightning was really beautiful, and we ended the day playing smash Bros with one of his friends. The next day we came home, it was a fun and exciting week for me, that's for sure

I chimed in saying it's the good kind of weird but then she "corrected" me saying there's no such thing as a good kind of weird,
Ok to begin with think of it from an outside perspective from the world Christians and by proxy Mormons are seen as weird to begin with as even the bible says so. 1 Peter 2:9 wrote:But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; {Peculiar an also be a quasi synonym for weird}
She sounds like the utter stereotype of an Evangelical southern Bible Belt Baptist, Ya know, like Sheldon's mom (if you have ever watched Big Bang Theory or Young Sheldon TV shows) Now I am not Mormon myself but I know religion enough to get strange looks from time to time.
Away from that subject, it sounds like you had a beautiful proposal and engagement, and I heard you had a beautiful wedding as well. Best to you both.
