"Since 1911, Proteus Metamorphic Clothiers has been a major source of alterations and custom tailoring for metamorphs, from modifying Armani suits to incorporate invisible high-strength velcro in the seams to bespoke expandable outfits. Beware, though: they're not cheap, although you may regret penny-pinching when it comes to your clothing bill."

Wonder what Sam Vimes would think of this. Seems to go quite well with his 'Boots' Theory of Economic Inequality. I mean, if you can't afford a Proteus, you buy normal clothes while you save up, right? But what happens when you shift and ruin your cloths? Can't go naked (in human form, at least), so you have to replace them. But there goes the money you had saved towards a Proteus. And it definitely ends up costing you more, not going for the Proteus - but if you could never afford a Proteus because all your scant money went towards clothes so you weren't charged with indecency, so you never had enough at any one time...
