FAQ

Do you take requests or trades?
Requests never. Trades with friends.

How much are prints?
High quality 8x11 prints are $25
Other prints and a variety of matted originals are available at cons only.

How large are your badges?
Traditional badges are 3x5 inches. They do not come laminated. They do come with script.

What about two characters?
Prices listed are for a single figure. Additional characters are the same price, so that there is no difference between two characters in one picture or two pictures of a single character.

Do you include backgrounds?
Prices listed are without any environment, but may include simple props or color washes. Painting with full environments are have a minimum 50USD additional charge that covers most landscapes, skies, and water. Anything more complex will be quoted on a case by case basis. I am most skilled at trees and fabric, and less skilled with indoor furniture. Please note me with a description of what you want to get a quote.

Can you do lineart?
Yes, but it's a pain. As you can see, most of my work is blotchy and messy. I have the ability to do linework and templating, and I used to work for a pet sim game, but painting is much quicker.

Can I commission a sketch from you and then have someone else line or color it?
Yep. Go ahead.

Can I commission you just to color this sketch or lineart?
Case by case basis. Send me a note. Priced by the hour.

Why don't you do YCH?
I like to tailor the composition to the figure and I don't want to end up in a situation where the color scheme or body type just doesn't work with what's already there.


Are you open for commissions?
The work queue, including commission slots, are publicly listed on the profile page. Please check there, or send me a note if you would like a price quote on a larger project. If you would like to work out details ahead of time, you will be placed on the wait list and gain priority status when slots open. You are always welcome to note me to ask whether commissions are open. You are not bothering me and I will not be annoyed with you.

Why are you never open for commissions?
I'm secretly a grownup with a grownup job outside of FA and a time consuming hobby outside of furry. I am absent each year between January 30 and April 15, and also for the beginning of October.

What is the best method of communication?
Please send me a note over FA. You can also email me at SilentSpringdragon@gmail.com, if that is your preference, but notes are less likely to get buried among personal items. You are always welcome to message me on Telegram or Twitter, or send me a note for a chat, even if we have no business to discuss.

Do you stream?
Occasionally. Yes, I do take in-stream commissions.

Do you do NSFW?
Yes, but very selectively. If you're interested, throw me a note.

What program do you use?
Clip Studio Paint and a Surface convertible laptop. I prefer SAI, but I couldn't find a reliable way to pay for it legitimately.

How long have you been drawing?
I took my first USD commission in 2008.
