Here he is! My main character and idee fixe, Bruvelighe!
Though officially named "Chasmafenestra," he belongs to a species more commonly referred to as "Warpjaw." So named for their characteristic rift ability housed in their mouths, Warpjaws are nomadic roamers between worlds and planes. The casual ease in how they can produce and store items between dimensions makes these beasts natural born thieves, and in some cases even spies. Most individuals are solitary though at times they're known to associate with others in a contractual capacity...more out of novelty than necessity. When Warpjaws ARE hired, it's usually to exploit them for their criminal proclivities or as an equalizing element of force.
...Bruvelighe on the other hand is perfectly content to debauch and carouse his way across the worlds he visits, stopping only when either growing bored or being angrily driven off-planet. More recently (and more popularly) he finds himself entering contracts as a kind of living gloryhole between distant clients. But hey, it's a living...?
Any Warpjaw worth their salt puts great stock in their ears, their pride and joy. This is understandable as, without those ears, their maws wouldn't even function! The larger pair of ears is primarily used to espy specific locations and instances across dimensions/worlds, effectively allowing them to "see." This is also denoted by the eye-like markings on the backs of either ear. The smaller pair of ears are just that: ears. Instead of hearing from just one pair, Warpjaws split their local hearing into the smaller pair and leave the larger pair to listen off-world. When at rest or not in use the larger pair of ears can rest backwards on the smaller, placing them snugly inside as shown. With how frequently he uses them Bruvelighe just lets them droop forward, lending him a perpetually tired look.
