The reason why I hadn't posted this before is because I was never able to figure out the darn problem with the grainy colors. So I gave up and posted anyway.
So this is one of my profile avatars. And to answer a common question, I MADE IT!!!! OK??
Is it wrong to be offended if over and over people ask "cool avatar! Who made it for you?"
I can has talent ok? *sniffs*
Anyway, looking at it this large is a little weird. It was made to be seen at 100x100 pixels so some things seem over animated and I notice some things that you can't see in the smaller version.
So, I hope you folks appreciate it anyways, grain and all!!

It is really really cool. I love lizards and this is a cool avatar. The Grainy look is possibly because it is a gif you have to really use only a select number of colors, which means you can't use the colors you want but what windows or the gif spectrum allows. There is a way to choose a ceratin spectrum but Im not sure which one you want, then you have to recolor everything gif friendly colors. What are you using to make it into a gif ? I guess I am only thinking with photoshop.
Yeah... I'm slow to post, and I don't go on the instant messages like, at all. I don't know enough people to really make it worth to log on/off to check regularly(I keep my FA IM name separate from my RL one).
You guys are pretty awesome, but I dunno if I'm up for joining the Kaijusaurs right now. However, I'm working on a comic to post on this website and if i get far enough along I may ask for cameos of people I know, yourself included.

Cool. I've wanted to learn a bit about animation myself, but my last experience with Flash was less than impressive and I don't really know of any good, free, simple animation programs. Of course, I'm the kind of person who wants to learn about everything so I'll probably eventually dive into it :P
Grainy Texture is because of an option you selected "dithering" when you set up your save for web settings in photoshop.
If you remove Dithering completely from the original file it should get rid of those crappy dots... they're there to reduce file size... but only really help if small instances :\
