AAH! My first gallery painting is done. This is going in a public gallery, and I'm super proud of it. I tried a ton of new things, like the large background with different perspective, background objects, rust, glass. I also tried a new pose (and i hope his neck isn't broken). I also designed that gas mask, that was pretty fun i mean, i love designing sci-fi lookin' shit.
Anyway, this was made in Paint Tool SAI. It took about 3 days on and off to complete, I don't have the exact time in hours.

The story behind this is that Kaicy, the character pictured, was trying to find his brother who moved away and didn't keep contact. He was moving around using his chemistry knowledge to get a few jobs on the side (mainly in illegal drugs, because kaicy was the naughtier brother of the two). Eventually we find him here doing one of his side jobs, when someone brings him a poster that could lead to his brother's defense business.

I know its not a very good backstory for this piece, but I'm not a good writer so please spare me.

I hope you all like this piece! I'm super happy with it and it actually fits in with some of Kaicy's backstory.
