Finally, my second composition is done. I changed the solo a bit and added the drums.
There is no MIDI sound left in this song; the guitar and bass are RSE-sounds straight from GP5 and the other instruments were replaced by soundfonts. The drums-sounds are from my lil Drum-Machine. ^_^
I hope you like it! Thanks for listening, anyway!

Why thanks! And thanks for the fav, too!
Soundfonts are a collection of recorded sound samples. They are a bit tricky to handle but you surely can do a lot of things with them. If you need closer information, I suggest you to look it up on Wikipedia (like I did^^)
There are some sites on the web where you can download soundfonts for free:
SF2MIDI.com (registration required)
Hammersound.net (some dead links)
To change the Instruments of my GP5 compo I exported the song to a MIDI and used a prog called Synthfont. I muted the guitar/bass and clicked "Play to File" right at the top of the window. Then I mixed it with den GP sounds of the guitars.
There is a complete bank of soundfont-patches included, but you can surely find better ones. That prog is not very difficult to handle, I think. But if you have any questions, don't be shy to ask^^.

Ever hear of Eight Melodies? Some consider it to be very repetitive, yet it's still one of the most powerful and moving pieces of music I've ever heard... I really don't think your piece here is as repetitive; it's got a subtle, yet decent amount of variation going throughout the piece that keeps it fresh and lively! ^^
Just as intended! Thank you for the kind words! <3
I don't really like repetitions, so I try to avoid it using subtle alternations^^ (darn! I repeated your words. >.<)
And I couldn't withstand the temptation to put a solo in it, even if it doesn't suit the genre, which was intended.
