Ref sheet for my wolf character, Nashobi. ^^ He's based off my Native American heritage. "Nashoba" means "wolf" in Chickasaw.

Base by Nievaris. Colors by me.

5 months to late but just thought I'd let ya know I like the character :)
But Nashoba or Neshoba is the Choctaw word for Wolf. So one letter off, no biggy though. Again, I like the design though.

Thanks. :) But his name is Chickasaw though, not Choctaw. They're different tribes and languages.

Whoops My bad, I misread. However, in chickasaw it's still nashoba. At least everything I've found anyway, maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. But chickasaw and choctaw form the wester branch of the muskogean language family and thus have similar words. It's a super minor point and in the end doesnt really matter. Fun fact though, according to choctaw and chickasaw myth they where once one tribe lead by two brothers Chata and Chiksaw. But yes, I mean no hostilities by continuing the comment. I myself am Choctaw by the way, not that it means anything? I'm no authority on the subject, but I do research my ancestors often.

Again, no intent on appearing hostile or an elitest.

That's odd, I could have sworn it was nashobi... Now I can't find the site I originally read that on anymore. o.0 Maybe it was a typo on the site. ^^;; And no worries, you didn't come off as hostile or anything like that. :) Well, I guess I'll just keep his name the same... It just has a creative touch. lol

Oh yea keep the name, you're right it is a good creative touch. :) I mean in the end that's all that matters, if you like the name you like the name, ya know.
