A larva the queen will nurse and nurture them herself. Once they've raised out of their cocoon, they will go through several stages of development, but are born ready and eager to mate and produce eggs for the hive. As they get older and reach higher stages, their abdomen will grow larger, able to hold more ovaries, their body will change slightly and they develop strong psionic powers. Even gain wings for flight. A hive queen can have as many Hivebrooders are she pleases, as their territory increases more hivebrooders will be required to look after subhives.
