This art was commissionned by the very kind Alfadreamer22 as an illustration for the last chapter of his fanfiction "The Wildes of Zootopia", that you can read here : https://archiveofourown.org/works/1.....full_work=true
Well, i will not spoil anything by telling you what the "Great News" is, but i will introduce you to the original characters present on this picture.
The red vixen on the sofa is Nick's mother, Rose.
The little kit in Bonnie's arms is Nick and Judy adopted daughter, Anna.
The vixen behind the sofa is Nick's half sister, Ariel.
I hope you will like this art, i was really happy with the final result (especially the expressions).
Have a great day,
Zieg'

For the record, I'm of that mindset too. The creators seem to prefer an "all or nothing" approach when it comes to things, ergo, out of fairness to any elephant/mice couples in Zootopia, it won't be possible to cross-species reproduce for anyone else either.
But it is fun to think that maybe this isn't common knowledge -- that it's never actually been scientifically proven they can't because, up until recently, it's been something that "just isn't done" -- and that, whenever this question comes up, that forces them to realize that, actually, they are still a very prejudiced society otherwise the answer to such an obvious question would be common knowledge by now.
It's actually something that's found its way into my own writing. Every inter-species couple with kids they encounter either refuses to answer, or insists that their kids are hybrids no matter how obvious it is that they are not. So they still don't know.
Also fun to think of characters like Stu Hopps, Chief Bogo and the like having been young too once. And maybe what they once casually brushed off as a little innocent fun momentarily coming back to haunt them when they realize that, actually, no, they don't know the answer to that question.
("Oh crap. Does this mean I could have MORE than five hundred children?" *starts sweating*)
