Er.... Yeah these look really messy. >__< See they were really big wraps and I stupidly took a picture AFTER I broke it up and started eating it. D'oh!!!
My dad once made cabbage wraps and ever since I wanted to make some too. So I looked all over the internet for a good recipe and I finally found one.
1 c. rice
1 lb. hamburger
1 onion, cut fine
1 lg. head cabbage
1 can tomato soup
Water and 2 tbsp. vinegar
Cook rice in water for 15 minutes, drain. Add hamburger, onion, mix well. Wilt cabbage by running hot water over it. Separate the leaves. Take a cabbage leaf and put 1 tablespoon of rice mixture on it.
Fold and roll and put them side by side in greased casserole. Pour 1 can tomato soup, water and vinegar over this. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Add more water, as needed, while baking.
My experience and advice:
To be honest... It's not enough soup at all D: It's actually very tasteless when you use that little amount of soup. More soup wont hurt. I would suggest mixing it in with the rice and beef mix before wrapping because the rice and beef is REALLY boring in there without much else to make it taste good. These were only slightly like what my dad made, my dad's had more seasoning and sauce in the rice I think. >_>;
Sorry it looks so gross ; x;
