The Hanmonster, in (Digital) Watercolor (3h-ish)
I actually have no idea how long this took, but I do know that I dragged my feet and paid little mind to efficiency on timing since it was a personal thing, so the timestamp is really just my best guess. I'm pretty sure I may have posted this months ago on Twitter, but for whatever reason the image never made it to FA, so it's high time we correct that.
This is, to date, the closest I think I've come to capturing my own character as I see them in my mind's eye; Han is both a vessel/stand-in for myself and their own character, sort of simultaneously. They're some kind of cervine/deer-type hybridization with a vaguely saluki-esque sighthound, sharing traits of both while presenting very animalistic/not-quite-human shaped anthropomorphism. Colors are very simple: buttercream-ish yellowy blond or tan all over, vaguely golden brown ears/tail fan, darker hooves and nose leather. No particularly fancy markings, just gangly bones and that parietal eye.
The one (small) update I think I've done to their design overall since the last public incarnation was the inclusion of seasonal antlers, which are usually small and nubby, occasionally even not present! During the growing seasons I think their shape/size can be effected by health, stress levels, hormones and weather, so every pair (eventually) shed is different. You can call 'em any pronouns though I think 'they' is just my default now because I'm lazy and they're not really heavy on any secondary sex characteristics. The long hair on the ears/tail is usually tied back with simple ponytail holders, clips, ribbons, beads, etc. Clothing is entirely optional as a natural state of being/drawing.
Anywho, enjoy! This kid has evolved with me for a few years now and I'm really feeling sentimental about silly designs to reflect my little artist heart.

Oh gosh that means so much to me-- and can I just say how much I ADORE your boy and his design? I'm a huge sucker for cool/unusual beasts with really wild body phenotypes, and he's so distinct looking and also a really lovely character of a wonderfully badass artist whose work I love too! :D
I didn't know handmonsters have five eyesockets... allthe way to see you better? :)
also, interesting proportions. slinky and stretched. I guess they walks almost like a dancer. ^^
would be an interesting situation meeting up with my Rubenczal character: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/25846971/ ;)
