I actually did consider doing a couple short stories with the duo before the events that happened in Abel's Story...but I felt it may be a bit depressing seeing two characters who everyone knows end up dying going about their lives beforehand.

*nods* I didn't think of that myself. I, personally, wouldn't mind - but then again, I tolerate movie spoilers. n.n

Even though they do die so horribly, I'm sure (for me at least) your readers would be thrilled to see more of them in their own series of comic shorts... Assuming it wouldn't be too much work for you to do, what with everything else that's going on.

I think its always good to get more background on characters, even if they are dead.

I think knowing they die gruesomely at the end would give the mini-comic a nice air of poignance... but that said, I like unhappy endings. I find them refreshing.

no where in the comic did it mention weither or not they were a couple. The death scene with devins dieing thoughts infered that devin realy loved xander and never told him how much. that doesn't mean they werent a couple before hand just that Devin hadn't realised how much the puppy ment to him.

The banter in the comic implied that they weren't a couple, but joked around about it...and it wasn't till Xander's death that Devin realized how much he cared about Xander... He then got revenge for Xander, only to die to an attack when he got shocked by Abel's not-so-convenient timing on going full cubi.

*shrugs* having re read the the pages I don't see it that way. the bantar is playfull but I've seen similer among gay couples in public

man, these two really were very memorable, short as their arc was. I think what really imprinted them was that they were the first real death scenario you put forward to your fans. i dunno, they stand out in my mind, but that might just be because i'm easily psychologically influenced by the comics and stories that I do enjoy so much.

So why don't you have Abel dream about them at some point. People are saying he's gay, and here's a couple from his past that might have been. You could do a short sequence where he dreams about the two of them being a couple. When he wakes up, Pip could be sitting on his chest giving him that WTF look that's so cutely annoying.
