At long last, N8701Q has begun flight operations with Southwest Airlines.
This very aircraft was rolled out back in December 2015, then flew for the first time in January 2016.
Named the "Spirit of Renton", it continued to fly as the company testbed even after Southwest began flying the 737 MAX in October 2017. On 20 June 2018 it was finally delivered to Southwest Airlines.
