Fane reached his hand out sideways, his mind focused. Source bubbled up from deep within him, rising to the surface as he readied himself to cast a spell and obliterate an obstacle that dared block his path.
All of a sudden, just as the skeleton was about to unleash the destructive power, he felt a distinct amount of weight pulling his arm down. He didn’t even have to look, he knew exactly what just happened.
A disdainful sigh echoed in the silence around them as the skeleton’s rigid features shifted to form a bitter scowl. “And there he goes again… Must you do this every time?”
