That scene in particular would be perhaps the scariest, most nightmare-inducing sequence ever to be seen in the history of Pokemon. Think about it if you were in Lysandre’s shoes:

You are being confronted by a 9-foot-tall giant of a Trainer, cowering in his shadow as he speaks to you with contempt (like an abusive father would to his child). And even though you had your trusty Pokemon available in your party, you feel almost absolutely helpless just by looking up at the king’s eyes glaring straight at you with hatred and a desire for violence against you. You’ll also feel as though AZ would kill you at any minute at this point, especially when he knew you’re about to make a similar horrible mistake he committed 3,000 years ago.
