I was searching through my drawers the other day, and I came across this OLD drawing I made YEARS AGO in high-school. And yeah, its pretty crappy in comparison to my more recent works. But hey, this was merely a doodle I did when I was in class in high-school. And if you look closely, you can see the date. And yes, I did this drawing on the same year as 9/11. That far back. Man, I can't believe its been so long ago.
But yeah, even back in those days, kangaroos were no strangers to me. At least in art. And just in case anybody's wondering, no; this is not Joe. Though it looks a lot like him. But this is merely a doodle that I sketched out of boredom. Because you know, when you're tired of school, drawing is an artists' natural instinct. I remembered Aussie from the lesser-known Dinky Di's cartoon, Roger from Tekken, and Mr. Thickly from Tazmania (although he's a wallaby technically). And of course I was into playing Crash Bandicoot in the mid to late 90s. And all those things accumulated inside my head. And this picture of an anthro kangaroo just jumped into my mind.
Now granted, I didn't draw kangaroos as much as I do today. But even back then, I used to experiment with everything. And well, it just so happens that aside from a few outside inspirations, this unnamed kangaroo served as the basis for Joe. And that's how the Joe we know today was created. Well, its one of the ways anyway. And it wasn't until MANY years later, when I finally found this sitting in my drawers, and I shared it with my friends David and Adam. And they helped me give him a name and an identity; his name is now Zack, and he is Joe's brother. Of course, this is an OLD drawing. So he's going to need a makeover.

Yeah. And I intend to update his design.
Actually, he's as good a fighter as Joe. And his style is a mix between boxing, Muay-Thai, Tai-Chi, and Capoeira. And he's neutral but with a hint of goodness.
This is proof though that I did draw kangaroos back then. Though not as much as I do now.

I think he can have a buzzcut. We can also keep the current design of his chest armor, but I feel his shoulder pads should border his shoulders rather than stick out. His gloves can also have a line down the backs of them. His boots can have a similar line like those on Exile's custom outfit.
Maybe they could, but with some differences. Zack can use his fists more, while Joe uses his legs more.
Either in the future, but TBH I see Joe being a parent even while serving in the MAS. Cindy could he taking care of his son.
