I've decided to give this character a redesign. He's now a mink!
~
Hero name: Pryvid
Name: Marcus Kholyawsky
Age: 44
Species: Raven
Height: 6ft 5
Weight: 187lbs
Nationality: American
POB: New York City
Powers: Teleportation, Durability, Shapeshifting
Areas of Operation: The Mid-West, Great Lakes
Distinguishing features: Missing left finger
Outfits: Raven black bodysuit with a stylised white starburst over his chest and a white cape.
Strengths:
Now you see me
Pryvid is extremely skilled at using his teleportation to maximun effect, sowing confusion and deception wherever possible.
Not such a wimp
Despite his relatively wiry appearance, Pryvid can endure a surprising degree of damage. Combined with his teleportation ability, this blesses him with remarkable staying power.
Weaknesses:
I'm the greatest
Pryvid's egotism often gets the better of him, allowing enemies to manipulate his ego and alienating potential allies.
Rock wall, Clay cannon
Despite his durability, Pryvid is in fact no stronger than the average strong furson and will struggle to inflict damage on enemies with a high level of durability. He must use his teleportation and durability intelligently in order to land effective blows.
Bio:
Marcus Kholyawsky was born to a Belarusian-Jewish family, who had a history of accusations of witchcraft behind them.
At the age of 17, the tall and gangly Marcus was in High School and had become the favourite target of a local gang. One day, the gang attacked him with baseball bats. As the first blow landed, Marcus closed his eyes as he was subjected to a savage beating - in that moment, the mink feared for his life and closed his eyes. He opened them to find himself at home, his mother stunned by a brilliant flash of white light. What was more, where he had expected to feel the agony of broken bones, instead he felt only light bruising. Once his parents had been convinced that an Atom Bomb hadn't dropped, Marcus's elderly grandfather reminded them of the family legend. His own grandmother had many times been accused of being a witch, and amongst other legends she was rumoured to have escaped the tsarist police by disappearing from her cell.
Quickly, Marcus began to use his powers both for the good of others, and for his own ends. In his free time he would fight crime as the costumed hero Pryvid, taking the Belrusian word for ghost as his name. In his spare time, he would visit the school library after hours and even, once or twice, sneak an advance look at exam questions so as to be better prepared.
In 2001, Marcus was now a young Professor of Physics when he was presented with the opportunity to join law enforcement. Leaping at the chance for further advancement and the thrill of adventure, Marcus signed up and swiftly rose up through the ranks, making both friends and enemies along the way.
Personality:
Though motivated basically by a desire for justice, Marcus is encumbered by a large ego, and a tendency to be aloof and rather stuck up around even his colleagues, even to the point of being unpleasant, and he has little time in particular for heroes he perceives as uneducated. He enjoys the thrill of battle, partly because of the rush that defeating a supervillain gives him.
He is standoffish around women, and is at least acknowledged to be an utter gentleman, if a rather arrogant one.
