My husband took me to the San Diego Animal Park two weeks ago (it was one of our wedding gifts), and it was frakkin' AWESOME! So much gorgeous wildlife I would normally have never gotten a chance to see. Guh. Drrooooollll. Lions, cheetahs, raptors, even robotic dinosaurs (yeah, I know they're not "wildlife" shushup, you). Cheetah CUBS! Too cute. So here begins my image-dump: a young, fine-plumed falcon. :)
I don't know the species of this pretty raptor, or even if I'm right about falcon versus hawk (I'm voting falcon 'cuz of wing-shape- this bird was FAST), but dayyum, I had a good camera day...

Well, I'm not very familiar with these birds- I only get to see them when they're a hundred feet up! Heh. But yeah, the pattern around her eye suggests a Peregrine to me, too. They actually are indigenous to my home area, too- we have several pairs nesting within the city in our downtown to keep the pigeon population down. They were part of a breeding-program to re-establish them after the DDT thing nearly wiped them out.
