(Note: It is recommended that one should read my first prompt, 'A Different Kind Of Tank', prior in order to fully understand this one. For those that have already read it, feel free to dive in.)
Firstly, I apologize greatly for how long it took to write this. The idea came to me nearly a week after the theme of the
Thursday_Prompt had gone up, after which many others had already done their take on it.
I expected to have it written, edited and posted by the following Thursday, it didn't help that its also the sort of story that I have long since been unfamiliar with writing, so I didn't expect to give it as much time as I did.
I wanted to give this one the feeling of finality, as it will likely be the last prompt I'll write until the rough draft of the second chapter of 'Shadows' is finished (barring any prompt I may or may not write while attending Megaplex.)
Overall, I really don't know how to feel about this one, but at least it seems to have come out decently enough to be presentable and hopefully there is some enjoyment to be had with it.
Any critique is appreciated.
