The work in progress, stage 4, of my custom pony version of The Last Unicorn.
YES, there is a G1 Morning Glory My Little Pony under there... she's just been hacked to bits and reposed and basically resculpted.
Yep, I'm stepping up to the table and finally doing my own custom based off of The Last Unicorn! Hey, every customizer has to eventually do one, right? XP
She has a new wire and aluminum foil skeleton, with parts of her hacked off of a G1 Morning Glory flutter pony. The wing mechanism was cut out to make for a smooth back, and her original ears removed to give her the almost deer like ears. Face had to basically be resculpted, though MG's original head IS under there still for support.
Sculpting is FINISHED! I'm working on painting the white base coat as I post this. Looks like I WILL make my deadline for the NYC Anime Festival after all! ^___^
Gave her new eyes and a new brow line, thinned down her muzzle a bit, to fit with the idea of the not-horse-like unicorns of old times. Her bent rear hoof has been supported by a ball of apoxie sculpt, and the ball hidden by the lion tail of the unicorn, so the weight of the body doesn't rest on the tail itself.
I did hide two small swarovski crystals on her as well.
