Almost everything I know about art was self taught, and I thought it may be helpful to others who are learning to make a few tutorials including some of the most important things I have learned so far. I chose gesture drawing practice as the first tutorial because I think it is extremely important if you want to improve. A lot of beginning artists tend to draw very static non-interesting poses. This is not only visually boring, but also tends to make your skills stagnate. Performing gesture drawings is a good way to quickly improve on your ability to pose and the quality of your anatomy.
Remember your gesture drawing doesn't need to be perfect. A gesture drawing is meant to be quick. Just try to get the posing and anatomy correct and then move on.
For a site dedicated to providing you with gesture drawing refrences head to: https://www.quickposes.com/en/gestures/timed
Currently I have two other tutorials planned.
-Lighting Basics
-Perspective Basics
If you are interested in me doing any other tutorials feel free to leave a comment as well as if you have any questions.
Oh yeah and thanks to
Dialuca01 for originally giving me the idea to do this.
