Meet Flora the Leopard Gecko Wizard and Thimble, her trusty pseudodragon familiar, the most recent additions to my lovely list of D&D characters!
Flora here was once a simple Leopard Gecko that was subjected to an awakening spell by a very powerful magus, who then subsequently changed her through the usage of a powerful form of polymorph in an effort to create a companion to keep him company, or perhaps an apprentice to teach his magics. Regardless of such, apprenticeship aside, Flora was an archivist and librarian with a part time job of being a Professor for younger spellcasters at the academy she lived in prior to losing her memories in a mysterious encounter.
Thimble, for the longest time, has always been her companion and though she remembers naught of their past, has retained a strong sense of companionship with him. Unlike most Psuedodragons , he lacks a stinger upon his tail, where by some accident he lost his own. In an effort to comfort him, Flora placed a thimble upon his tail, much like his namesake. Clicking it against surfaces is a favorite pass-time of his and pleases him greatly. By some strange stroke of irony, he has a collection of sewing needles and buttons.
Together, they're quite an adorable duo, wouldn't you say?
