I don't have any neat little story blurbs to go with this piece. Though there is something to say about this piece and that is it wasn't actually supposed to exist.
This was actually the second or third Surrealis Grimoire piece I attempted to color months upon months ago. I eventually gave up and deleted the work in progress file from my harddrive completely because the piece seemingly did not want to be colored. I tried though. Oh how I tried. But I eventually slotted the Ash Basin as a page that just wouldn;t have a colored alternate.

Then I was looking through the Grimoire pages and happened upon the this page. And suddenly I knew what I had to do all around. I had to keep it simple. Go for two, maybe... MAYBE three colors at most. And keep it short but sweet in a way. Not going in for the usual in depth shadow and shading I tend to do on these piece.

An hour later, the Ash Basin alternate page is ready to go.
