No, on the contrary it is a re-do of that original idea. I thought I'd correct some proportion problems and general shapes, but even without having my original I ended up doing almost the same - this is why I left it as a sketch. maybe someday I'll try again a reshape...
What happens ? That you mistake on the making of a pic ? Once again, nobody got the perfect knowledge, so nobody intelligent enough would have anything against you because of that !!! On the contrary, by asking, you show that you are interested, opened to the world, and ready to change your idea if needed, which is relatively rare and mostly appreciated...
Heh, you sound much like a Canadian fellow that I believe is on this site also, goes by the name of CarLOS. At first he didn't think much of an American like me, he felt I would be another shallow brute, especially with me being in the US Air Force. =+}
That has changed into a very open understanding now and I count him highly as a friend. =+D
Yes, I'm a rare breed of folk that takes in whatever is presented to me and analyzes it at face value, I add no expectation nor force anything of my own perspective to what is before me. I ask plenty of questions when I'm not sure of what I'm looking at so as to understand what the originator of the "item" fully intended to convey. Also, unless asked, I do not normally provide advice, even while I know of techniques that are beyond my own level of art. Umm... sadly sometimes I can't help myself tho, yet I know my place rest assurred. =+P
You may dimly recall I had tried to give you some input on a piece you had done I think called "Creatures of Darkness" and I even offered to try to improve on your misgivings on the pic. Heh, I failed many times. I have knowldge of how to produce exactly what you expected, however I lack the skill. =+P
I thank you for appreciating my honest input when and where I can provide it, and I also hope that my own language barrier does not interfere with this message I'm trying to whole heartedly convey to you. So allow me to thank you for both your art and your patience with me. =+}
Your humble (and often envious) watcher,
Cheawick. =+D

*bows*
Actually I'd kneel but I'm just an eyeball here. =+P
You are an artist that makes me think, if that makes any sense... You look at details that no one else pays attention to, you try to understand the "how" of functionalilty. You are not one that would create a "Star Trek" device that works just because it does. I believe you will research plausability VS the "It just works" gimmick.
You have continually astounded me on so many levels that I have lost track! =+D
If anything, I'm ashamed that I haven't been able to learn the four languages I've been dying to learn: French. Japanese, Spanish, and Tagaglo (I think, phillipine but spelling may beway off)

Heh heh, thanks a lot, that's true that I'm almost always lookiing for the functionality, for mecha as well as for creatures - and that's what prevents me from being able to do really silly toony pics, to my very sadness.
As for languages, you always got the time for that, my dutch dad for example, though being in his eighties, recently learnt arab....

Don't worry about the silly toony pics, I'm sure you'll have a moment where you can't help but produce one when yer mind is so consumed with the need. =+}
Wow, yer dad learned Arabic! Now THAT is impressive, for I know that is a horridly difficult language to master. Please pass along my congratz to him. =+D
I know there is always time, but since I'm in Japan I want to learn Japanese now. =+P
I'm trying, but it is still rather difficult. =+S
Take care my friend, I look forward to your future works. =+}
