To be honest though, I came up with this idea, of using the sunken Yellow Sub to signify the disillusionment of the 60s. Then BOOM, saw it in Tempest. XD

Well, all the collapsible stuff that comes out of the sub on mechanical appendages made them think it was more then it really was. In truth was that the sub was just a glorified expensive attraction.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Tempest. The fourth and final volume of the series, the first issue of which was released recently.

It also depicts a destroyed Yellow Submarine, a casualty of crossfire from the Falkland War...along with a chunk of Pepperland, the Chief Blue Meanie (and his skull), and the Dreadful Flying Glove.
