So like I said, I have a use for shields! The Roman Empire may have used pennants and some banners, but a lot of their standards used icons mounted atop poles. I'm kind of running low on bitz for standard bearers, but I have some leftover lance hands for cavalry I can't use anymore.
See where I'm going here?
Cavalry lance hand + gnoll + spare shield = Romanish style unit standard with "shield-icon!" I plan on putting clan or unit symbols on the shields mounted so. I'm going to use one of those two "V" Venator shields for my unit of Bestigors. It seems appropriate.
...and yes, observant people will notice the notebook under the mini is covered in notes for Final Fantasy 14. I find it easier for my Mi'qote character to do Storm Supply and Provisioning dailies if I write down what they need before going to get stuff I don't have... ^oo^'
