Think about it this way: If he would make it public, then where did he get the information from? He'd put himself at risk.
Vice versa, Star would put herself at risk as well. Going public with it could lead to social suicide, if you ask me.
So,
They could only agree to keep both silent, ignore and pretend they never saw each other (which would make a very boring story, if you ask me) or, which seems more likely,
A) Become friends even at work, which could raise suspicion.
B) Play a double game!
Option B seems to be the most likely and most exciting.

So, if it IS Marellis, he doesn't strike me as the type of person who would have been into this, at least from the story so far. Which isn't to say he wouldn't be, we all have sides that we don't show to the public. But, I have to wonder, how did he get into the scene?
I'm wondering how well he knows Teca, outside of the scene, i.e., at work, if at all. I mean, it would be pretty easy to figure out he knows her inside of the community but is there another aspect of 'Uncle Matt' that we're unaware of, maybe BDSM? Time may, or may not, tell.

You can't tell anything by someone's public face though. I've been a DL my entire life, participated on the internet for the past 10 years, and participated in it irl with other people for the past 2. But to everyone who knows me without knowing any of the kink stuff, I'm like the most innocent, straight laced, responsible, and professional software developer you've ever seen. If anyone suspects anything, they probably think the boxes under my bed are holding robot parts for some secret project and not the diapers that are actually in there.

They might as well get "the talk" out of the way now. That way Star can enjoy the rest of the party. Given "Uncle" Matt is at the party and the way he's behaved thusfar (seemingly sincere toward Manda and Star), I hoping the next page is him openning up. We'll have to wait and see.
Most likely that is probably how he will approach it. After all, if he was to bring it up with others at work, their superiors would eventually hear about it, and while she make get into troublr, HE would have to explain why HE was there and no amount a story weaving would ever dismiss their initial supisions.
I hope Marrellis ends up being super nice to Star.. Since Star can blackmail him too!! Very excited to see the next page.
