The problem with determining gender with the Allunge breed of Pokemon is that...Well, the males and females both look generally alike, with only close inspection proving the true gender of the Pokemon. Breasts, shapely hips, strong thighs and a pretty face. The most common way to determine the gender is that the purple "Psychic Eye" is on the opposite side for males...Normally. This is not, however, entirely reliable.

In the case of Danse, though, it is somewhat accurate. Initial viewing may lead one to imagine the playful, even flirtatious Pokemon is a female of the breed, but is in fact a male, or as close as Allunge get to male. Not that the breed is too picky about gender preference when it comes to picking mates; they're not exactly shy or monogamous.
