Life doesn’t always have a clear path for a Pathfinder character. One year, you’re a slave who escaped and signed up with a company in charge of keeping a city safe from the magical residents’ mishaps, from giant slugs to overgrown botany gardens.

Next thing you know, your previous owner is wrapped up in a plot to destroy the world, giving you a chance for revenge and to free your people. With him and his allies dead, the world is safe for another 500 years.

The royal family grants you the land of your ex-master for your people to rebuild. So you become the leader. Your people grow and develop. You start a family and have a child. She wants to be “Just like dad!” but she also wants to have The Prettiest Dress™, and you wouldn’t have her any other way. It’s a shame you know you’ll have to leave her to help your old party save the future...

20 years of being a leader, father, and a husband have taught you many things. The importance of planning, and having back up plans for those plans. Your old friends are strong, but planning ahead was never their strong suit. You say your heartbreaking goodbyes, entrusting the family to your adopted brother and take a one way trip 480 years into the future to join them, only to end up accidentally blowing up your great great great great great great grandson in another plane, sending him back to the Material Plane face down in the snow, and losing an arm to the big bad’s ice attack. That’s fine though, technology and engineering has developed a lot in 480 years thanks to seeds you helped plant, and having a prosthetic limb is much better than it used to be, especially when you can mod it out.

A commission series I wanted to get of Range, from lvl 1 Rogue to lvl 14 Arcane Trickster that is technically 3 images but for simplicity I merged them into one for FA. Featuring his daughter, Lata, who was built entirely in out of session chats with the DM about hypothetical situations about what happened while my character stayed in the past to be a leader. She is a precious imaginary child who played my character like a damn fiddle.
