In the wilderness of Ulimaroa there are a fair number of aggressive Pokémon that make any Trainer's adventures risky and exciting. One of the most dangerous, by far, is the large Dark/Poison Type, Gloamanna. A fifteen-foot long, whip-tailed monitor lizard with enormous piercing claws and powerful toxic saliva, the Gloamanna is as beautiful as it is temperamental.
Normally living in small groups, Gloamannas are frequently found in the tropical regions of Ulimaroa, particularly along rivers and in the swampy jungle along most of the eastern coastline. They live with large colonies of their pre-evolutions, Chlamydose, bug-eyed frilled lizard Pokémon that are more prone to fleeing from intruders than confronting them. They are deeply protective of their lesser cousins, with the males frequently rising onto their hind legs and brandishing their foreclaws as a form of intimidation.
Their weapons are numerous, from their poisoned barbs, venomous claws, toxic bite and powerful, whip-like tail. They are powerhouses when properly trained, but the real trick is catching one. They can be tempted into the open with certain food treats, but one has to be careful that they don't become more appealing than whatever snack they offer! It's suggested that when one is passing through Gloamanna territory, they bring Repel, Great Balls and Antidotes.
Gloamanna, The Venomous Monitor Pokémon, No. 027 in the Ulimaroa Regional Pokédex.
