I got the rats I've been planning to get so far.
I have 2 of the most adorable sister's ever.
They're a year and a half and I adopted them from a local rescue. I saw them on the website and thought they were adorable. Arranged for them to be at the rescue's adoption fair today.
I went in and fell in love! They are the sweetest girls in the entire world. I adore them both.
This is Lily. <3
She runs with her tail curled up on her back. The letter from the past owner who surrendered them to the shelter said she likes wheels. So I'll have o purchase her a nice safe wheel tomorrow. <3
The picture was taken at my friend's house when picking up my daughter. OF course my friend wanted to meet them so we took pictures in her room. Her bedsheets amuse me to no end. XD

The ban is hopefully being lifted soon for a number of reasons. I'm in Alberta and I understand at one time it was THAT important to our agriculture to not have rats. But in Edmonton we have a mall that is 48 square city blocks and gets most of it's good from the US. This mall is infested to the point that they have to hire concert repair crews for the rat damage every year or so.
My point being that we now have wild rats so there's not really a point to not allowing domestic ones, especially when there are people all over Alberta who break this law and keep pet rats illegally.
They're here, but the government is slow cause it's not a hot button issue.
