Sweet, lets hope the SJWs don't ruin it with a protest or on-line bitchfest. They seem to come out when people are actually enjoying themselves or supporting the military/police.

The run, parade & soapbox derby went off well; I photo'd them and posted them on our library FB. But a gust front blew in at 5 and then a drenching rain (I got so thoroughly wet my clothes just never dried, but I finally got a chance to wash them yesterday, between pop-up showers), so everything after that was cancelled (floods easily in this area). Yeah, we've had a lot of trouble with "auditors" who claim they are protecting the constitution, but in actuality go around doing the governmental equivalent of teasing a dog until it bites and then shrieking that the dog must be killed since obviously it is dangerous...sheesh. Anyway, ended up watching fireworks on PBS, lol. Oh well. We desperately needed rain.
