hey all felt i should post these for everyone who is interested!
so a while ago
Sardan did something truly awesome and passed me the video game Dawn of War 3! now i never played the game but had seen imagery of the knights of House Varlock from the game but getting to play the game itself I just fell in love with em. more so Drakiana. the knight was so awesome and i loved watching her go on a bloody rampage, as such i got more then alittle inspired by her.
so i went out bought some Imperial Knight Box kits and started going to town on building, and painting. now this one here is quite special to me although this is the 3rd of the knights i built and painted up and finished, this is the one i had to post here first for multiple reasons.
First off, this is the one who inspired me in the beginning to make the army from the video game! so of course i had to make Lady Solaria to be my warlord knight duh she is the high queen! Second, this one holds a special place because when i went to build this one i had already requested some assistance from relic and showed them some of my work and they blew me out of the water by not only giving me the info i requested to help me in painting up the color scheme and layout but also gave me background lore AND even converted knight parts from the in house studio to help me get her finished right!
So without further ado i give you Lady Solaria High Queen of House Varlock, Mistress of Cyprus Ultima, marching to war within her mount Drakiana to obliterate some orks! enjoy!
p.s. i have though of doing a little more of her base in the future but righ tnow till then i'm quite happy with this model! :3

Hi!
I know this is 3 years later but I just bought an Imperial knight for my son's birthday. He's in love with the model ever since he saw it in Dawn of War 3, so the plan is to use this paint job.
I wonder if you could share the recipe for the blue armor - what color did you use?
Many thanks,
Milan

I wish to apologize to you Milopapa, unfortunately with work lately I have been extremely busy and unable to respond as fast as I would enjoy or like. I'm so happy to hear you are doing this and I wish I got this sooner to you, the color scheme for the blue armor is quite simple and straight forward as I had followed the one done by Warhammer TV guys from a few years ago on a tip of the day namely this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILbCXD3P6kc
the link will take you to a video by Duncan Rhodes on how to do the House Varlock colors! :D I found it quite rewarding to do (though the base coat can take a bit so please understand that)) but I hope this helps. :)
